What do you love about Charlotte? One of my favorites has to be the people here. It’s been so interesting to cross paths with people from so many different backgrounds and get to have UNC Charlotte in common with all of them. It’s hard to comprehend that people from so many different walks of life end up at the same university. It is also hard to beat being so close to the city itself. Going to school here provides such a unique opportunity to be connected to the largest city in North Carolina, and I love exploring the city we get to call home.
What makes you most excited about being a mentor with NSC? I am so excited to get to see the mentees of NSC grow in this program. The first year of college is such a transformative and transitional year, and I can’t wait to see each mentee grow socially, academically, and professionally within their confidence, leadership and sense of belonging on this campus. I hope this program makes them feel supported as they take these next steps, and we will be cheering them on as they step outside of their comfort zones, build these new relationships, and discover their potential here.
What’s a piece of advice that you would give incoming Charlotte students? A piece of advice I would give to new students would be to come here with an open mind, and to get involved. UNC Charlotte is connected to so many unique opportunities, and I regret waiting to take advantage of them when I was a first year student. All of my favorite memories have come from having an open mind and stepping outside of my comfort zone, and if I could go back I’d have done it so much earlier.
What’s a fun fact about you? A fun fact about me is that moving to Charlotte for college was the first time I had ever moved!

What makes you most excited about being a mentor with NSC? I’m most excited to help new incoming students build and cultivate a great relationship with Charlotte on all levels like I’ve had the ability to do!
What’s a piece of advice that you would give incoming Charlotte students? Charlotte the University and the city has so much to offer. Make it a point to take advantage of every opportunity.
What’s a fun fact about you? I’ve jumped off a 40ft cliff into a Cenote in Mexico!

Psychology | Class of 2027
What do you love about Charlotte? I love that there’s something for everyone at UNC Charlotte. No matter your interests, there are opportunities to get involved, grow, and find your place.
What makes you most excited about being a mentor with NSC? I’m excited to support students who are starting a journey that I was just on myself. Whether I can be a friend, an accountability partner, or simply a resource, I want students to know they have someone in their corner. I’m especially excited to get to know students who I know will make a positive impact and leave their own legacy here at UNC Charlotte.
What’s a piece of advice that you would give incoming Charlotte students? Don’t let fear hold you back from new opportunities. It’s important to step outside of your comfort zone, get involved, and be intentional with your time here; the effort you put into your college experience will be worth it.
What’s a fun fact about you? I went through a phase where I had my own slime account and was completely obsessed with making slime. It’s definitely one of my favorite things to look back on!
